The first convening of what would be later called “The Quanders United“ took place on December 28, 1974. The convening began with a mass at Sacred Heart Church in Washington, DC, followed by a gathering in the parish center. The Quanders United Inc. is an organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the Quander Family. See our vision, mission, and purpose, and the board members responsible for leading and shaping the organization.
To empower, support and unite Quander family members everywhere.
To preserve and maintain the Quander family’s legacy and narratives for the Quander family and future generations through fellowship, community service and activism, and the archiving of our family’s history.
1) To promote within the Quander family a greater sense of appreciation for the rich past, family background, history, and achievements among present and future generation family members;
2) To provide a sense of organization and continuity among family sponsored gatherings;
3) To foster a better means of communication among the several hundred members of the Quander family, and between and among its several roots and branches;
4) To otherwise promote, uphold, and extend the Quander and related names in a consistent fashion when and where deemed appropriate
